AV Vegas Rocks ACM Awards for Stoney’s Rockin’ Country
On the South end of the fabulous Las Vegas Strip is where country music lives! Stoney’s Rockin’ Country in Town Square Las Vegas, Nevada turned up the heat for the ACM Tailgate for A Cause featuring some of the hottest country music stars this side of the Mississippi.
After two harrowing days of high winds during the set-up, the winds died down and the sun came out, just in time for the stars to show up on ACM weekend.
Country music isn’t what it used to be and there’s one thing they know how to do right and that’s go BIG or go home.
The challenge was on to “turn it up” in Sin City and show them how we do it here in the south… Southern Nevada that is. Today’s popular country music is complex, no longer does it depend on the banjo, lap steels and fiddles, it’s a blended cross genre of sounds with screaming guitars and heavy beats. To get this “Party for A Cause” started AV Vegas brought out the stage, climber, audio, lighting, back-line and a crew of 11 techs to operate two stages of non-stop country music.
Audio Equipment: JBL VTX V25 Line Arrays; JBL VTX G28, S28 subs; all powered by Crown Amps; Console: Yamaha CL5 & QL1.
Lighting: Martin Mac Aura’s, Elation Cue Pix; Clay Paky Sharpies, Alpha Spots; LED Pars; Roadhog4 Lighting Console
On the ticket the featured artists included:
- Jon Pardi with
- Jimmie Allen
- Kenny Foster
- Walker Hayes

- Eric Paslay
- Stephanie Quayle
- Brandon Ray

The best country music leaves you feeling good and we were definitely feelin’ a little bit country. The music was great, the cowgirls were pretty and the bar-b-que ribs were amazing. Wish we could do it again tomorrow. This was the first outdoor country festival we have done since the tragic Route 91. We will continue to do these great country events for anyone who cares to put them on, especially the great Route 91 event, as long as we have breath, loudspeakers and guitar amps.
Are you planning and event in Las Vegas or nearby? Let us know how we can help bring your event to life. AV Vegas is the name behind the show!
